Qbr online community is about to reach 300.000 users.
The event will be celebrated with the airing of a humorous commercial, that can be watched when the portal opens in September 2007. The commercial headline is “The Charge of 300.000 users”, ironically, defining the extraordinary ever increasing crowd of the community, with a comic book style representation of its “tribe”.
Founded in December 2003 and managed by Nascar (Neapolitan Internet Company leader in projecting visual identities, online communication and web-marketing) since 2004, Qbr has become one of the main national communities and the most popular social network in central and southern Italy.
The 300.000 milestone follows, by a few months, the birth of a magazine, (a space dedicated to news and entertainment) and the application of the Real User Rank, (the algorithm that detects fake chat users), and anticipates a long series of news pieces and prestigious partnerships.
The goal of 300.000 registrations testifies the constant growth of the Qbr community: in June 2006, in fact, Qbr users totaled 100.000, and in February 2007 that number doubled reaching the 200.000 users. Today, after a little over six months, Qbr is happy to reach this new target confirming its success.

Qbr does not stop here. Luca Morieri, Web Publishing Director, states: “Such a fast growth makes us understand we can’t stop here. After conquering the south of Italy we must aim higher and start a process of outsourcing to push ourselves in the rest of Italy and then in Europe”. Qbr is ready to turn its aspirations into real goals.
Gianluca Cozzolino, Qbr’s CEO, remarks that “reaching 300.000 registered users is a very satisfying goal but that doesn’t distract us from our ambitions for the future”. He adds that “in the following months important changes will be made to our social network. Among the goals we have set, we count on reaching 500.000 registered users within February 2008.”
