A partnership between Qbr and Gay.tv

Qbr and Gay .tv editorial staffs created a partnership promoting a weekly exchange of homosexual contents and themes.

Every week, Gay.tv Magazine will feature an article written by our editors. While the theme channel “Love Sex” of Qbr Magazine, (a space dedicated to love and eroticism), can rely on a new sub-channel, entirely managed by Gay.tv staff, Qbr decided to make the most of the collaboration and open its doors to the Gay community.

The Gay.tv website, currently managed by Yam 112003, a society belonging to the Endemol Italy group, aims to complete the editorial project started in May 2002, with the first satellite channel entirely dedicated to the homosexual universe. Since then, Gay.tv, thanks to the social network, has represented an important window to the homosexual world.

Qbr.it portal, acquired in 2004 by Nascar (Neapolitan Internet company, leader in visual identity design, web marketing and online communication), has quickly become the most accessed network in Southern Italy, with over 300.000 users in its community. In April 2007 Qbr Magazine was created, with 12 theme channels and 59 sub-channels, among which the newest Gay.tv channel, entirely dedicated to the gay community.

The partnership with Gay.tv editorial staff is an opportunity for us to enlarge our contents area on a basic theme for our social network of young users, who go through the delicate post-teenage period and are very curious about sexual matters” declares Gianluca Cozzolino, CEO of Qbr., and adds: “The editorial staff that manages Gay.tv portal deals with topics in a very appealing and innovative way, introducing them in a fashion that I would define “a healthy normality” and introducing gay and non-gay readers to, lifestyles, trends and customs related to the gay community”.

Giuliano Federico, Gay.tv editorial director also stresses this aspect: “Our partnership with Qbr is a very fortunate opportunity for us to offer, our not necessarily LGBT public, the chance to explore some topical themes, such as inclusion, representation and above all diversity, in terms of enrichment through discovery and education”.

This cooperation with Gay.tv is another demonstration of Qbr’s inclination towards a progressive development in the online news world: only a few months after the application of Real User Rank, the chat algorithm that detects and eliminates fake users, Qbr presents yet another innovation, this time linked to its editorial project.
